How do I uninstall this Apple software update? Can I just drag the icon that's in the Utilities folder to the trash? Or do I need to do more?
I ask because the installation causes the fan to run when the computer first sleeps and seems to make the machine harder to wake up, too. Just not worth the aggravation.

Hi George
The Imac G5 Sleep Light Update is a Firmware update and not reversible.
There are a lot of posts about problems after using this on Apple's boards, some having logic boards replaced because of it.
Try Repairing Permissions using Disk Utility in your Utility folder, and then booting off the OS disk and using Disk Utility that way to Repair Disk.
If this doesn't help, I would contact Apple about this.
