Description:
Hello,

I am using Remote Access
to connect to my ISP with my iMac and it is giving me an error message of
"Status Starting PPP" then it
comes up with "Remote side is not responging correctly. Check the configuratrion of the control pannel and try again."
Ive checked the TCP/IP settings and they are fine. Even went through and deleted the preferences for Remote Access and TCP/IP, restarted and put them in again with no help. I have the correct user name and password. In the options of remote access protocol tab Ive got PPP selected. Ive got the iMac internal modem selected and connect via iMac internal in the modems control pannels. I have no idea what to check next.

Any thoughts?
Thanks,
Amy

Hi Amy
Thank you for using No Wonder!
Trash these two preferences..
SYSTEM PREFERENCES.....FINDER PREFERENCES,
then restart and see if you can connect.
If you still can't, reinstall ARA from
the system disk and see if that clears it up.
Good luck!!
If nothing worked, please let me know
and we'll try and find another solution. :-)
