DESCRIPTION:

I was wondering if there was any way to convert an image file of text, into text? id est -- If I was to scan a letter into my computer, is there any way to take the text and paste it into a word processing program? Any suggestions or answers would be much appreciated.

Oh yeah. There is a branch of special computer software that does that. They are called OCR (optical character recognition) software. You usually get a lite version of the program with every scanner you buy. But not always. You should go on www.yahoo.com and do a search on OCR. You should also go on www.winfiles.com/search and do the same search. You will get a wast number of shareware/freeware ocr programs available.

BTW this service doesn't allowe us to forward stuff to any other mail address then the one you have provided at the begining. Hope you will be able to forward this to him
