Is there software that will support imaging the disk drive of MAC OS X systems that will allow for a quick re-install of the original system? Another use would be to enable the creation of a standardized image to be used to support multiple mac LAN?

Thanks in advance for your response.

Hi Arlo,

There are several ways and tools to image your system for use as a "Fast Rollback" installation.

You can use "Carbon Copy Cloner" to image your system to another disk or into an image file. It works for me. For more info on Carbon Copy Cloner check out this site:

http://www.bombich.com/software/ccc.html

I use CCC all the time and i must say it works fine, apart from the few glitches
But however, you can also use other tools to "clone" your system to an image file or disk. There are several tools available on the web.

You can also make use of a NetInstall/NetBoot image which your OSX Server can serve on the network. You can create a Network Image with the tool "Network/System Image Utility" which came bundled with your server software and was provided by Apple. Just follow the steps and you'll be up and running in no time! It's very easy to make, activate and use!

Check out this guide for more info:

http://images.apple.com/server/pdfs/...date_v10.4.pdf

If you need any help or assistance setting this up, just ask us! I hope this has been helpful.
