For some unexplained reason I can't bring up iMovie help. And Googling didn't help. So........

I've got these clips in iMovie......how do I join them to make one movie?

Is Final Cut Pro very hard to learn? I find iMovie very easy (except for the above) though I would prefer to work on a bigger windows. Its always Apples odd preference to work with non-full screen windows. Bizarre company. Its like they read a magazine or book by turning over 1/8 of a page at a time. So are other apps available to do that? I want to work with something as large as possible with a tiny area for working with clips. iMovie wastes tons of space. Apple's designers must be on some strong hallucigens. Or perhaps they're sleep deprived. Weird design parameters strewn all through this OS. Not that other OS's don't have their quirks. But this is supposed to be the people friendly OS. They could make it 100 times more friendly for dolts like me.

Once you have finished editing your movie you simply go to the File menu and select "export". There are lots of options to choose from depending on what sort of format you want your finished movie to be in (ie what you want to do with it).

If you want to have iMovie window take up as much screen as possible, simply click and drag on the lower left hand corner of the window and size the window as desired. Note that the computer has to work much harder if you have a large movie preview window. There are technical reasons why it is wise to keep the preview window small, unless you have a fast computer.

Final Cut Pro is a professional application and so is vastly more sophisticated than iMovie. Comparing iMovie to Final Cut is a bit like comparing iphoto to photoshop. As sophisticated, pro apps go, I personally think FCP is very easy to use but then I have a background in TV editing and have years of experience in high-end computer work.

I suggest you look through the FCP section on the Apple web site. Check out the video tutorials/demos on the software.

feel free to get back to me if I can help further.
