Hi

I have a 15" aluminum G4 powerbook with 512 MB ram.
I knew when I bought that I would want another card and now wonder:
if 512 MB costs $59, and 1 GB costs $249 - will I really notice the difference and is it worth the extra $190 ???
I am an occasional user of photoshop, but primarily like to have a few apps open at at time and am finding lag times in opening stuff is ennervating me.

What's your recommendation?

Benson,

My name is Cheryl and I will be assisting you. Your PowerBook has two RAM slots. If you have both filled, you should get the 1 GB stick and pull out one of the smaller ones.
If you have only one slot filled, getting the 512MB will boost you up.

The cost reflects trying to condense all those modules on the stick to fit in the PowerBook's slot.

I found a place that has a better price on the 1 GB stick. ($167.30 which is in line with the 512 MB price)

Just type in the search box Powerbook G4, select your model and it will bring you to the available memory sticks.

Yes, you will notice a difference when you upgrade. The lag time will disappear.
