I've recently purchased a new iMAC and loaded Office 2008 for Mac on it. My old PC has Outlook Express 6 and while I've figured out how to transfer all my emails, I'm stuck on how to import or transfer the address book.
Please understand that while I'm competent enough to find a solution and follow directions, I'm not super technical. Oh, and I'm new to the world of Mac...
Thanks in advance for your help,
Chris
You should be able to export your contacts to a comma-separated values (CSV) text file in OE6 on the PC. That's a file you can import on the Mac. However, to a new Mac user, I would highly recommend that you try using Apple's applications—Mail, Address Book, iCal—instead of Microsoft Entourage. I think you'll have a much faster, more intuitive experience with them, and will be satisfied with the extent to which they share data with each other, emulating the integration that is packaged together in Entourage.
If you choose to use Address Book and still have trouble with the import process, I'll be happy to help. If you still wish to stick with Entourage, I'll reopen your question for another tech to address.
