hi there. recently my ibook g4 has had trouble starting up. Now, it fails to do so still, but beeps twice, and as i have found out that it signals incompatible ram types. can someone please tell me what that means and how i can fix it? thank you!

Howdy,
If you can boot up, go to the apple menu and check how much RAM your computer thinks it has. If you see a smaller number here (listed in Megabytes) then you probably have bad RAM installed.
You can run a Hardware Test from your cd of the same name (came with the system cd for your computer) to verify if you have bad RAM.
Did you install some RAM yourself recently or have you not done anything to it?

Hi. I haven't actually done anything to it, which is why i am unsure as to why its not working so well...

Start up with your hardware test disc in the drive and test everything. Let me know what it tells you.
