TICKET ARCHIVE -> InDesign - can't move anything

Hi
I was happily working on InDesign this morning and suddenly the program won't let me move anthing I have selected...

I can hi-light text, make new shapes - keyboard increments will work, the direct selcetion tool works on individual path handles etc - everything apart from move a selected object/text box around the page with the mouse.

Please help if you can... (I have a print deadline this afternoon...)

Hi Anna,
Did you see to check whether the object is locked? To unlock an object, click on 'Unlock Position' in the 'Object' Menu... (at the top..)

Hi Dominik

Thanks for your response - nothing was locked - weirdly it was something to do with my preferences linked to my login on a network - all my files were the same; nothing would move on any of them - but when someone else logged in under their own id on the network, and opened my files in InDesign they were able to move everything around the page with no problems.

Another person suggested I rename the Indesign preferences file - I think in 'Applications' - and everything ws solved... I had to do this with Quark before when it crashed repeatedly on opening...
