How do I open InDesign CS2 files directly from a CD after I burn them? I always have to copy them to the desktop to be able to view them. Is there a preference I need to check?

Thanks a lot

Howdy!

I do know that InDesign always creates a temp/restore file whenever you open a document; and since you can't alter a cd once it's burned I'd say this is your issue. You'll have to simply copy the file to your desktop because you can't work on it on a cd.

By the way, why are you trying to work directly from a cd instead of an external hard drive or from your own hard drive? Just curious…

Hope that helps.

I just wanted to know why it did this with my files since I can open my co-workers files directly from the cd. So weird!

Are their files CS or CS2?
