That plug in is associated with windows media player.
http://www.file-extensions.org/wma-file-extension

Do you have it installed? If you don't, go here:
http://www.microsoft.com/windows/win...&qstechnology=
(Select Player 9 for Mac OS X from "Select Version")

If you have the player installed and the file doesn't play it's usually a mac issue. Many times content providers optimize wma files for pc and they won't play on macs. To test this, have a friend with a pc try to open and play the file that you want.

Hope this helps!

Thanks for your help.

Unfortunately I didn't get far. Apparently I need stuffit expander to decompress windows media player 9 for Mac OS X which I will have to buy from allume systems before I can download and install. Once I get stuffit it seems it will be possible to proceed with the plug in.

Best
