I have a Macbook Pro that I bought new from apple.com two weeks ago. A few days ago I downloaded bootcamp and went through the installation, but the program wasn't there... I went through all the steps and it said that it was successful, but when I hit finish and tried to use the program, I couldn't find it anywhere. I've tried again and again, but the program either is never really installed or it is somehow hidden.. I am new to macs, so maybe I am just missing something. But I checked everywhere, including the applications folder.

Bootcamp only allows you to partition your drive and formats it (along with installing some essential drivers) so that you can install Windows on your Macintosh. Bootcamp itself is not Windows. You have to buy a copy of Windows XP SP2 and install it after you boot your MacBook Pro into the Windows partition (hold down the option key at startup and choose the Windows partition).
Hope that helps.

Yes, I realize that I must get my own copy of Windows. But the problem is getting the bootcamp assistant to work in the first place. When I try to install the bootcamp assistant on my computer, it says that it is installing and there are no errors, but then when it is done bootcamp assistant doesn't pop up or anything and I can't find it anywhere.

Well, I just opened BootCamp Assistant 1.1.2 beta and it just opens like any other app, tells you to quit all other apps and then gives you the choice to burn a CD, create or remove Windows partitions or start the Windows installer. If your copy of the Assistant doesn't do this, perhaps you have a corrupted download? I'd try downloading a fresh copy from Apple's website and see what happens. Hope that helps.
