Windows Media Player was last distributed in a Stuffit or HQX archive; I can't remember which. You need Stuffit Expander or The Unarchiver to open this.

But, before you do that, answer me why you downloaded Windows Media Player instead of Flip4Mac Windows Media Components for QuickTime, as is endorsed and recommended by Microsoft?

I have Quick Time on my computer already...guess it's not the latest version, because it won't open WMV files.

I will try all of those download you recommended.

Thanks for your help.

Let me clarify: QuickTime does not natively read Windows Media content. That's why Flip4Mac developed Windows Media Components for QuickTime, creating a compatibility.
