Hi,
When I bought my 12" powerbook approx. 6 months ago I had the free trial of iWork. I used the free 30 days and then a month or so later I bought the software. When I started installing it, it came to the part where it asks me where I want it to instal and the hard disk came up by default. I chosse there and then it said there is nothing to install. I then dragged and dropped the software to my hard disk and tried to load the software again but it came up with the same error. Can you help?
thanks,
Frank

Hi Phillipe,
I tried the links but there was nothing about installing iWork.
Cheers,
Frank.

Yes, there is a relationship.
These articles spoke about the Receipts folder, the folder where Apple memorises all the stuff you have installed.
So to allow iWork to be re-installed, you must clean this folder of the signatures of the files of the iWork suite...so that the OS would believe you never installed any.
Do this by opening the /Library/Receipts folder. On a Finder window, select your hard drive icon on the left, then on the right:
* select Library
* select Receipts
(If you don't find a Receipts folder, you are in the wrong Library folder.)
In the Receipts folder, find any file with the name iWork, Keynote, or Pages -
my system has
iWork Extras.pkg
iWork Fonts.pkg
Keynote 2.pkg
Pages.pkg
and trash them all. Empty the trash. Logout and log back in, or simply restart your Mac. Now you should be able to install iWork
