I have a 2nd user PowerMac AGP Graphics 450/640 SDRAM running OSX 10.3.9. I am gradually transferring data from my
Bondi tray-loading iMac G3 running OS9.1 (upgraded from OS8).
Can I/Should I install OS9.1 on my "new" G4?
Reason: The Zip Drive on the G4 is non-functioning. The internal drive is CD/DVD ROM only (MATSHITADVD-ROM SR-8585).
I have an ancient USB Que! Drive that seems to only work with OS9. I also purchased an external USB/Firewire external HDD to transfer data from the old to the almost new and for storage but I want to burn occasional CDs and I'm out of cash.
Any words of comfort/advice greatly appreciated.
Kind regards,
