unable to find driver for this platform "powermac 8.1"

darwin kernel version 8.4.1

no panic we are hanging here.

How do i sort this out as I have bought an iphone and need tiger to operate it and sync

I am desperate

Do you have a retail Tiger install DVD/CD set? Black with big X? What does it say on the DVD? It sounds like you may have a set that's specific for another model Mac.
