Because of the problems I was having printing with iPhoto on my iMac 400 DV+ (see my other questions), I decided to upgrade. I bought a 17 inch Intel iMac with 1 GB of RAM running OS 10.4.6.

Now my new problem: I have an AppleWorks document with a postage stamp border. It used to print fine on my iMac 400 DV+ with the Canon Pixma and OS 10.3.9. I am using the downloaded newest driver from Canon's website.

The document shows up fine on my screen, but the border does not print. Instead there's like a nondescript background with light color, like someone rubbed the paper with a colored pencil. If I delete the border, the text and remaining graphics print fine. When I delete the text the border prints the nondecscript colored background, not the border.

I took the document to work and it printed fine on my iBook running OS 10.3.9 onto an HP 4000 laser. I am not sure if this is an Intel problem or an OS 10.4 problem.

Any ideas?

Hi, My name is Adam
I am not sure if you are aware of this or not, but AppleWorks is not currently designed to work on any intel macs.

I would strongly recommend you start moving from AppleWorks to Pages (Part of iWork) or (dare i say it) Microsoft Office

i don't know if you noticed this or not, but there hasn't been any major updates to AppleWorks in several years

Sorry that this isn't a fix, but that is the situation at hand

Well, except for the border on this document, it has been working.
