Hi, we've been having problems printing on our Intel based iMac in Adobe Acrobat Reader. It takes a long time for a pdf file to be printed even if it contains just a few pages (1-5) and a small file size. Our printer is an HP LJ 1200 plugged into the usb port. We used the Mac's native driver as it supports the LJ 1200. What could be its problem? Thanks.

Adobe has not yet released a universal binary version of Acrobat Reader. This means that on the Intel based Macs, Acrobat reader must run under Rosetta. That will slow it down. To solve this problem until an updated version of Reader is available, you could try adding additional memory to your iMac. I have 1 gigabyte in my Intel iMac.
Or you could open the files using Apple's Preview application, and print from there. Preview is a universal application and will be much faster.
