Under the login items in account preferences there are "internet reminders". Is there any way to see what application they are connected to?

Hi Ed

Do a search on your system for 'Internet Reminders'.

In the Log-in items, does it say Application next to it, or something else?

My guess it may be part of Microsoft office.

Some email programs and Web sites offer
free reminder services.

Hi Bob,

Next to the log-in items it says 'Unknown'.

I do have programs that do have automatic updates ( Don't have MS Office) and I'm pretty sure that is what these reminders are. Just would like to know which programs they belong to. I have zapped programs that do auto-update and if the update is still in the log-in items would delete it.

Thanks for the reply,

Ed

Bob,

I forgot to mention that a search of the system finds nothing.

I use Little Snitch to let me know if anything is trying to call out from my machine. You can allow or allow once or block forever with this program.

Take a look at it;

Internet reminders could also be part of the Network setup, depending on what type of Internet connection you have.

Look in System Preferences/Network/PPP/PPP Options button

You could also look in the Activity Monitor in your Utility folder and see if you can spot anything related to it.
