Hey,
Well, I just got back in from a holiday, and my internet on my main mac stopped working.
The mac is an Intel based 20", 2.16 gh/z, 2 gig ram.
I bought it a few months ago, and the only real changes I did would be up it from 1 to 2 gigs of ram.
It worked fine all this time, and now it stopped working.
its connected to my network, but it wont go online.
At times, such as now, its online - downloading at 0,02 kb/s!
Sometimes websites load in a snap (I have a dedicated 16 mbit line) as they always would.
Othertimes (just seconds apart) it takes 50+ seconds for a page to load.
I'm connected to the internet now on that computer with the notes:
AirPort is connected to the network cyberwars. You are connected to the internet via AirPort.
Parallels Host-Guest is currently active...
Paralells NAT is currently active..
Any ideas? Suggestions?
While writing this I was monitoring my download of some files - it varied from 0,02 kb/s to 14.5 kb/s. Usually I have downloads of up to 3 megabytes a second.
Lyn,
I had another user contact me about the same issue, they lived in Germany. Turns out, they didn't pay their Internet bill with the ISP, and so they had horrible connection speeds, just like you are expressing.
I would talk to your ISP, this does not sound like a Mac issue.

Well, other computers on this network work just fine, its just this one computer.
Some pages work fine - Such as google. Some pages never work.
If I were on a windows machine I'd say I have a trojan XD.
Anyways, Im also in germany, so I suppose its time to call my ISP
Also - maybe this is somehow related - It says i have no flash playe rinstalled.
I have flash 8 on the computer, but in FF and Safari its not showing up. I tried doing a broadband speed test, and so I get the warning saying I need to update my flash player.
