The default email in iPhoto changed from "Mail" to "Microsoft Entourage". Preferences does not allow me to change it back to "Mail". The other mail options listed (America Online, Eudora, Mail) are in light grey and clicking on them has no effect.

Are you the administrator of the computer?

If not the admin might have changed it by accident.

This is my home computer and I am the administrator. It seems to have changed on "it's own." Since this might be a Preference problems, I'm thinking that reinstalling iPhoto might be the best approach. However, I am running an older version (2.0.1) and I do not know how to selectively install iPhoto from the 2 Mac OS X (v10.2.3) installation discs that I have.

Problem solved! Some months ago the local Mac store ran an application to recover files that had been mistakenly deleted. The salvaged data folder contained the deleted files, which we removed from the folder, as well as copies of all files, applications, etc. on the hard disc. Deleting the salved data folder seems to have corected the problem.
