Hi and welcome to macosx.com

For some reason, your iPhoto Library is damaged

(1) repair the drive
* Boot from the OS X install DVD
* when the menus appear at the top of the screen on the Installer Menu select Disk Utility
* Select your HD and click on the Repair Disk button

If errors are found and Disk Utility is unable to repair them, you are going to need an industrial strength disk repair utility such as TechTool Pro or DiskWarrior to effect the repairs.

(2) try to rebuild the library pressing the "option" and "command" keys when double-cliking on the iPhoto icon.
If the same message during the rebuild, that sounds no good

(3) try to manually extract the photos from the damaged library http://homepage.mac.com/butlers/iPho...or/rebuild.htm
then recreate a new library and re-import (yes, I know, tedious work) the photos.

Regards
Philippe
