I seem to be having a really bizarre problem. when I drag images directly from the iPhoto 6.0 library directly onto a CD mounted to the desktop, it seems to burn a disk where only half the images have the ability to open. But when I use the share->burn feature the images open with no problems.
Any ideas? I tried deleting the preferences, and it still does it.
Thanks in advance.

Hi,
A possible issue could be the burning speed of your CD writer. Try lowering it or increasing the buffer. You can also try saving a disc image of it before burning to disc.
Good Luck,
peter

Peter,
Thanks for the reply. I have tried lower the speed and it still does it. This is an iMac G5 iSight, 1.9ghz. Is there an option to increase the buffer? I don't remember seeing that anywhere within OS X. I figured it is done automatically.
Thanks,
Anthony.

You are right there is no option to increase the buffer in disk utility. I was responding on the premise that you might have a third party CD burning application like Roxio Toast. Since you tried lowering the burning speed already then it might be something else. i don't have an answer for now but I'll get back to you as soon as I find one. Meanwhile i'll let thee other techs to have a go at it.

I can't seem to edit my post so I'm making a new one.
I lifted this from iPhoto Help.
IMPORTANT: Use iPhoto's burn feature only to archive your photos and albums for viewing in iPhoto. If you want to create a disc to be viewed on a Windows computer or by a photo processing company, you must use the Burn Disc command in the Finder. (See Related Topics below.)
To burn your own CD or DVD:
Select the photo library, albums, or individual photos you want to burn to a disc.
Choose Share > Burn.
Insert a CD-RW disc or a blank CD-R or DVD-R disc into your drive.
Disc information appears at the bottom of the iPhoto viewing area. The green area on the disc icon represents the amount of disc space your photos require.
If necessary, type a new name for the disc in the Name field.
Click the Burn button.
Click the Burn button in the Burn Disc dialog.
I may be wrong but from the looks of it your method is not an option.
