Is it possible, using iphoto, to import selected pictures, rather than the whole contents, from a camera? If so, how?
Also, is it possible to determine where on your computer imported pictures go? For instance, can you create a folder and send pictures there?
I do find iphoto a very hostile program.

Charles,
No you can't, but you can use Image Capture to import selected images and then import those images into iPhoto. Image Capture again lets you determine where to send your photos but iPhoto doesn't.

Thank you for this. Curiously, I feel better for it. I was sure I was missing something in iphoto, and was disconcerted at my own lack of intelligence.
