The I Photo application doesn't open up in any user accounts except the administrator's.

Is there a way for us to allow other users to use this application?

Hi Dale,

I'm using 10.4.1 It was the latest version. 4.3 or something like that. Ideleted it and downloaded an older version 4.0.3. Neither version worked.

I tried using disk first aid to repair permissions and that didn't work. I tried to manually change permissions in the Get Info window and that didn't work either. I also booted up off a peripheral drive with 10.4 and we still could get it to open. If you were to look at it in the dierectory window the icon is the generic application icon. As soon as we swith to the administrator it's fine.

If you create a new administrator account, can you get iPhoto to open?

No Dale.

This didn't work even when I changed the standard user accounts to administrator status.

You didn't answer my question.
Will iPhoto open with a new account (not a different existing account)?

iPhoto is not just a single user app, and should work with any user. It might have problems with Fast User Switching (I don't know for sure) but that would be a different issue from yours.

Latest version of iPhoto is 5.0.2, but that requires iLife '05, and likely would not change your issue.
You could try moving the user/Library/Preferences folder out to the desktop when logged in as that other user, then logout, and log back in as the same user. Then try iPhoto for any change.
I'm out f possibilites, hope some of this helps

- Dale
