Is this the right place to ask questions about my iPod refusing to 'restore'?

I found the information about disc repair and have followed all instructions up to 'drag iPod Software Updates folder to Trash. Everything has been wiped from the iPod and still iTunes says the iPod is corrupted and needs to be restored. I have 'restored' several times without success. Win

Hello-

Being an iPod 'genius', I think I can help you. Have you tried connecting the iPod via USB to another USB slot or on another computer? See if this works. If it doesn't, let me know.
