The other day I was listening to my Ipod (5th Generation 30 gig) when it randomly came up with a message that said I need to connect it to my computer and use Itunes to restore it. So I plugged it into my computer (I'm running Win XP) and when Itunes came up it said I needed to restore my Ipod before using it with Windows. So I did. And as soon as it got done restoring the same message came up that I needed to restore it. Can anyone help me? I listen to my Ipod often and I am lost without it...

Did you try the ipod on both pc and mac? I wonder if doing so would cause it to freak out like this?

yes, it recently came up with an update for it and i installed it. ive checked out some other forums and it seems like a lot of other people are having this exact same problem.

I have to admit I'm all out of answers. Shall I put your question out to other techs to answer?

Hi,
Try restoring it in another pc. If it still does not work after following the instructions from the link above, you might have to bite the bullet and send your ipod to a service center.
Good luck,
peter
