I regularly use my isight camera to communicate with another mac user with no problem. I have tried, unsuccesfully, to communicate with windows users with video cams through AIM. We have a high degree of frustration on all ends, and would appreciate any advice on how to make this work, and what we may be doing wrong.
Are you by chance getting an error message saying something about insufficient bandwidth?
Jason
We do occasionally get that with the other isight user, and we know to try at a less busy time. The error message usually is an internal error has occurred. Or there is something that says a user has not responded, even though both parties have. ,
I see... The incompatibility between iChat (mac) and AIM (windows) users have been addressed by Apple. What they recommend is to verify and make sure that you have the most recent updates for your computer by running Software Update, as well as the Windows user using the most recent version of AIM.
A lot of users report that its kinda of the luck of the draw when it comes to getting the Windows and Mac chat clients to video conference correctly... But Apple is addressing it if you keep current with your software updates.
Here are the Apple Support docs:

Sorry I couldn't help much more on this topic...
Have a great holiday!

I'll check for updates, and thanks for your response.
