Hi! Just joined your site and I'm very impressed!

Been a Mac guy since '80.

Question: What's the definitive answer to, 'Can you use video when trying to conference with PCs on AIM?'

I sucessfully used it with another guy from Canada but I keep hearing from friends that it's not compatible with PC users - what's up?

Hi Scott

I use iChat several times a week to video conference with friends that are on PC's with no problems. The PC needs to have the latest version of AIM, and on the AIM download page, there is also another small download to enable video with AIM, and the PC has to be running WindowsXP.

Your friends are wrong. A lot of people on Macs use iChat to talk to people on PC's using AIM.

If either is behind a router, ports would need to be opened alo.
