I am interested in purchasing an isight camera for my imac g5 sometime within the next week. Various posts on the web claim there may be problems communicating with people using windows. I was hoping to use AOL instant messenger (AIM) or the yahoo messenger to chat with friends and relatives who are pc/windows users. Is this possible? Is this difficult? Am i also able to record video and audio and send it as an e-mail attachment? I run os 10.3.9

I use my iSight camera with AOL (AIM), iChat, and Yahoo all the time. It works just fine for me. Microsoft Messenger doesn't work with the iSIght, at least for me.
I also use a little utility called iGlasses that allows me to fine tune the image, especially focus. I recommend using iGlasses with the iSight camera.
If you get one, have fun with it! I've chatted with friends across the US and in Europe. As long as there is enough bandwidth and horsepower on your machine, it is a wonderful device.
