Just upgraded to 10.4.3 from 10.2.8 (PB G4 12 inch). Figured out how to sync with imac and my ipods, but cannot sync with ical and address book.
When open iSync 2.1.1 and try to add device, enable palm sync or even try to open preferences, iSynch quits.
Any suggestions would be appreciated.
Thanks

Before going further in the resolution of your issue, could you apply the following mlaintenance tips with, in between each of them, retesting your iSync ?
First level
--------
Close all the running applications (except the Finder)
(1) Could you try to repair permissions
(must be admin)
Launch Applications/Utilities/DiskUtility
On the left pane, select the drive
On the right, select the First Aid (or SOS) tab
Then click on repair permissions and let run; don not worry about messages like " new permissions...."
Quit DiskUtility
Shutdown and reboot
(2) could also download Macjanitor
http://personalpages.tds.net/~brian_...acjanitor.html
and use it to run the maintenance scripts
The maintenance scripts are Unix scripts which are automatically ran on your
Mac between 02Am and 04 am..if your Mac is on at this moment.
I can advice you to run, through Macjanitor, the daily script each day, the week script each week, ..and so on
Second level

(3) Could you also download Onyx
http://www.titanium.free.fr/pgs/english.html
Go into the cleaning tab and use it to clean the caches. use the defauts Onyx offers, do not
clean at this stage the system caches.
!!! Please download the release corresponding to your OS !!!

If this not help, could you download the 10.4.3 combo update
http://www.apple.com/support/downloa...1043combo.html
and re-apply it over your existing 10.4.3
Philippe
Thanks - I tried most of the stuff already - will download Onyx as I have not used that.
I decided to do a more thorough search of other sources like Mac-L and MacFixit and found the problem. I use Application Enhancer with FruitMenu. When I upgraded to 10.4.3 from 10.2.8, got a message that FruitMenu was disabled. I had read there was a conflict with the older version. Downloaded newer versions of APE and Fruitmenu, which brought those back to full function. I went back to check if there was a problem with iSync and in one of those forums found that someone had put iSync in FruitMenu's master exclude list and iSync worked - I did that, and suddenly iSync works.
I guess I should have done a more thorough search first - if all else fails, read the instructions.
Thanks for your quick response.
Jerry
