Every time I try to open iTunes 7.6 I get the error message:

The iTunes Library File is locked, on a locked disk, or you do not have the write permission for this file.

I am running Leopard and as the administrator I have ensured that the permissions are read and write. How can I fix this problem so I can use iTunes and access my library of songs?

Where does your "iTunes Library" reside?

What do you get if you type:

ls -l ~/Music/iTunes/"iTunes Library"

in "Terminal" and press the return key on your keyboard?
