I just recently had to switch from a mac to a pc. i transferred my songs by burning them onto dvd's and then importing them into my new itunes (on the pc) and they transferred in, but every time i try to play them it says "file cannot be found, would you like to locate it". when i click yes it just takes me back to my itunes library and the whole cycle repeats. i suspect it has something to do with the fact that the songs were programmed on a mac and they need to be translated into pc-ese or something like that. please help! thank you!!

We provide support for Mac, not Windows. Actually, your problem here is with the way your PC is configured. Fortunately for you, I have done this before.

In the Preferences window, there is a checkbox somewhere entitled "Copy songs to iTunes Music folder when adding to Library," or something to that effect. It's in the Advanced tab on Mac, but I'm not sure where it is on PC -- likely the same place, but I don't remember. That needs to be turned on. Otherwise, iTunes will just try to look for your music files on the DVD's, rather than copying them all to your library.

Then, you need to start over and drag all your media files into the iTunes Library.
