Hello,

I am running Mac OS 10.4.11 and iTunes 7.6 and I have been noticing that all of the songs I play skip every 30-40 seconds and it is really annoying while trying to play music. Is there a way to fix this?

thanks,
Paul

Hi pmer:

Thanks for using macosx.com, i've looked into a few forum threads around and there are others experiencing the same issue. Apple is working on it!

Myself, i run 10.4.11 and iTunes7.6, with the latest components Flip4Mac and Perian. All is perfect!

Other options: COLD RESTART (SHUT DOWN), reset the PRAM. I'll dig around and see if i can't find some plist file that needs to be deleted! From what i read this has not helped!

Your system should be running fine, by the info you provided.

Can you download VLC and Drag in a bunch of songs and see if they skip in the same manner? We can then try to isolate the problem to iTunes or QuickTime?

Best,
