I am having major problems with itunes updating my ipod. I began having problems and went ahead and restored my ipod, thus wiping out all songs. Now, updating will not get past the first song. I have tried different cables. The ports seem to work fine, I switched them between my firewire drive (error -36 problems on it, but it does load and can play most files from the drive) and my isight with no problem. This seemed to come on recently with the adding of Tiger to my system.

I am using iTunes 4.9 with MacOS 10.4.2 on a Quicksilver 933 with 1GB RAM.

So my question is how do I resolve this? Earlier attempts before the restore had never hurt my ipod, could still play songs. Now I am unable to load any songs on to it. Between this and the hard drive difficulties I am very frustrated, any help would be very appreciated.

-Thanks in advance.

Hi Shagless,
normally an error -36 in iTunes means that the file is corrupted. Therefore, try to get rid of the file that is creating problem, snd see if that helps!
