If I burn a data DVD of MP3s in iTunes on a Mac, can a PC read it? How do I do it?

Yes you can...
You have to open the iTunes-preferences, then select the burning tab. (In newer versions of iTunes this is a sub-tab of the Advanced section.) Here you can change the settings to data cd or dvd. You can then read the files on virtually any system.
(MP3 cds would also work, but the quality is not that good. Audio cds can also be played on a pc (also on a stereo), however, if you plan to import the songs again, the data cd is a better option as you do not loose quality. (The original songs come from an audio cd: the process of decoding, encoding and decoding looses looses you quality.) For simply moving the files, the data cd/dvd is the best option.
Hope this helped,
Dominik

So, Dominik, you're saying that if I burn a Mac data DVD from iTunes, a PC can read the MP3 files on it and add them to the PC iTunes library?
How come I have to burn data files as an ISO 9660 disc in Toast on my Mac for a PC to be able to use them?

Hi David,
I have no idea about the iso stuff, but I do know that the data cd/dvd works, since I already tried it out... If it doesn't work for you, it would be very, very odd.

Yes, it _does_ work! From iTunes on Mac to iTunes on a PC. Just insert the Mac-made DVD into the PC and drag the DVD icon over iTunes and it sucks them all in. Thanks for the help.
