I am having major trouble with my site since I became a Leopard. Both
MACers and PCers cannot view the site and, if they can, they see only
the text and none of the photos. What the dickens is going on?

BTW: Some MACers and some PCers have no trouble.

What browsers are these various users using? Need specifics on browser names and versions. Firefox 3, in particular, is known to struggle with iWeb sites.

Ben,

It seems the users had Safari as their browser but when they went to Firefox (pre-3), all was well. The problem is most of us already have Firefox 3. What now?

Have "most of you" run Software Update, ensuring that you're up to date with Safari 3.1.2 and QuickTime 7.5?

I have suggested the above and made a note on my site that Firefox 3 does not work well and to use any other browser. Thank you for all your help!

That said, Firefox 3 will likely be updated before long to fix this issue. Or maybe it's a problem with iWeb. This was published on MacFixIt a couple weeks ago:

iWeb pages do not display correctly -- AppleScript fix We previously reported that Firefox 3.0 exhibits issues when rendering sites created by iWeb, including photo galleries. Several potential fixes for this issue have emerged, but none have proven universally effective.

An AppleScript that patches iWeb appears to be the best current bet. After applying the patch, republish your site and check for persistence of the Firefox display issue. The script's author says that his path should fix photo album pages, photo slideshow pages and blog comments (version 1.3 and later).

However, he notes that you may need to make a change to the affected pages (anything will do), or iWeb won't upload new versions of them, and some people have reported that the patch may not work if you have objects on the page with shadows added by iWeb.

MacFixIt reader Don O'Shea writes:

"I tried the patch, but it didn't work for me."
