Is the software iWork08 compatible with Leopard. Or will there be an upgrade to iWork 08. I do not have either right now, but am considering purchasing Leopard when v.2 is available and then iWork08. Or if I buy iWork08 now, will it work both with my exisitng Tiger 10.4.11?

Thanks for any help here!

Yes, you will be fine with iLife '08, if you have OS X 10.4.10 or higher. Your Mac Pro will be fine with both that and Leopard. For what it's worth, I use both, and recommend that to you as a good upgrade.

Thanks for info. I read Version Tracker every day and see all the problems people are having with Leopard...so I have hesitated in purchasing until a few more bugs are cured and version'd up.

Keep in mind that people who have _no_ problems with the upgrade, may not report that they have no problems. So, a report of problems can give a somewhat distorted view that _lots_ of people have problems, That's just not accurate. BUT - I say, don't jump into _any_ major upgrade without thinging about it first.
Be patient, I have no problem with that wait.
I do know that I have installed Leopard on perhaps 30 Macs. Some have had minor problems, but nothing close to disastrous. Mostly, problems _can_ be avoided by doing an Archive and Install option, and not allowing the default upgrade from Tiger to Leopard, for example. I don't expect to change the recommendation to use the archive and install option. I also _always_ repair the hard drive through the menus/Disk Utility immediately after booting to the Leopard installer disk, and _before_ beginning the update. It will find small problems to repair on about every other machine that I update. It helps to know the hard drive is good _before_ you upgrade...
