Knowledge Level: Beginner

Problem: Other
Computer Type: Apple
Model: PowerBook 3400
RAM: 32meg
RAM Enhancer: None
OS Version: System 7.6

Description:
In the Get Info box on the Macintosh Hard Drive, the dates read as follows:
Created: Wed, Feb. 12, 199797, 10:57 PM
Modified:Mon, May 11, 199897, 1:54 PM

Obviously, the latter date refers to today, but:

Those years, 199797 and 199897, are they something that will haunt me, other than driving me crazy whenever I open that box? Is this correctible? If so, can you tell me how to correct it. I can't find anything in my piles of manuals.

Thanks.

Hi Joanne and welcome to No Wonder

I read a fix for your problem the other week - but I cannot remember the cure.

Try these
1. Rebuild desktop
2. Delete Finder preferences
3. Delete the Date & Time preferences
4. Reinstall your fonts
5. Zap your PRAM

Cheers
Andy Mitchell
