Description:
I have down loaded a digital picture in JPEG format, but I can't move it on the page or to the clip board. My objective is to insert it above a text paragraph already in existence.I am using Claris 4 and JPEG view.I have increased memory allocation to Claris, but this doesn't help.Upon opening the picture I am unable to move it up or
down on the page.Any suggestions will be greatly appreciated. When I try to insert it adds another page. I am able to print the picture by itself but not in the size I want.

You probably need to resize (scale down) the JPEG picture. This can be done in many image editors, such as GifConverter (a shareware utility that converts/edits JPEG, GIF and PICT, etc.) and GraphicConverter (shareware/very good). Adobe Photoshop (if you have it) is one of the best.
You can download GifConverter and GraphicConverter at
www.shareware.com,
www.tucows.com and most mac shareware archives.
JPEG View is much more limited.
Once the JPEG is scaled down to a more manageable size, you should be able to work with it in Claris. For inserting in a Claris document, I suggest saving a copy of the JPEG file in PICT format (save the original).
If an image file is too large, you may run out of RAM copying it to the clip board.
