hi thanx for getting back to me. with the ichat i reinstalled mac osx with a archive install i think its called, and now ichat works.
just wondering if its ok to delete the previous system folder in my hard drive.

also i installed quicksilver, and i set command space to be the launcher. now i ahve also hacked front row onto my 12" powerbook, and i set the launch for that to be command esc, thing is now that ive installed quicksilver when i try launch frot row it launches quicksilver! I cant figure out how to change this.
also for some reason when i go to the keyboard shortcuts in system prefs, there seem to be alot of short cuts not there. im just wondering if it has something to do with when i installed the archive install to fix the ichat. it said not enough space on hard drive and which packages do i want to ommit from the install. i unchecked all three packages, and i think one of them had something to do with keyboard shortcuts, but i cant remember.could that be?
aslo i havnt got the drivers now for my printer, how do i reinstall all the printer drivers?

Some items you installed previously, including your printer drivers, got installed in the Mail Library folder, which is now in your Previous System Folder. Naturally, don't delete it until you've retrieved those items. You'll find Printers there. Search also though preferences for items related to applications you've installed. If you've installed any Adobe applications, you'll need to glean the Adobe folder, too.

As for Quicksilver, I don't know where it stores its preferences. However, I suppose you need to activate it to set preferences anew, if you've lost them. Or, maybe you'll find them in old /Library/Preferences, too.
