Tight on space. My 4 Mac home network has a G5 dual core 2.3ghz, a G4 tower 500mhz, a blue G3 tower 450mhz and last but definately not least a beige G3 tower 233mhz, which I need to print serial to a large format Epson 3000.

Each with their own keyboard, mouse and monitor.
I would like to get rid of the 'ol G3 - I tried a USB to serial adapter, connecting the newer macs to the epson - it did not work. Any idea why?

I would consider using a KVM to share a monitor and mouse with the old G3 and a newer mac, but it would seem I must choose between a USB or ADB when choosing a KVM.
Is there one with both or a better solution?

Wayne

Have you considered running a VNC server on the older G3 hardware that has ADB, you can control them from your newer machines which will share a KVM?

You can download a OS9 version here-
