I have a Imac with OS X 10.5 and when I download Limewire the program will open then as soon as I click on something the program shuts down with an error. I have tried removing the program and reinstalling it several times. A friend of mine told me about Frostwire, which is a steal of limewire but for MAC. I downloaded this program and it does the same thing. The error messages says Javaapplicatiostub Plug-in. I have also tried to reinstall Leopard and that did not fix the Java problem either

Something is missing or not up-to-date in your Java libraries. Did you repair permissions after the new install?

You can download Java separately from Apple, I'd go get the latest one and reapply it - with no other apps running.

No I did not repair premissions after install, at least I don't think I did. When I had 10.4 I had the same problem with Limewire. I have not been able to find JAVA for leopard on the MAC website. When I look at the JAVA website it recommends the mac website

When you are looking for not the latest thing, you want to go to Apple/support/downloads: http://www.apple.com/support/downloads/

Go back over that list and see if there are any security or Java updates you may have missed - no harm in reapplying. The last java update may be several pages back, I believe it was J SE 6.0.

Though I have a feeling an Archive and Install may be in order, after which you go back and apply, one at a time, any kind of update since the OS release, incuding 10.5.1.
