I'm having problems trying to load Illustrator 10 on a new Mac Mini running 10.4.7. (Intel Duo Core). The Adobe installer allows me to get through the serial number field and then abruptly quits.
I found one site that recommended upgrading Quicktime, which I did, and still have no luck.
Any ideas?

Howdy! I'm checking adobe forums to see if there's an answer to this...
While I'm doing that, make sure you repair permissions (apps/utilities/disk utility/repair permissions) and restart and try to install illustrator. But make sure you do a search for "illustrator" and remove any old illustrator files (just move them to the desktop temporarily; trash if the installation works).
We'll start there.

I'm sorry, Rosetta is the translator found on new intel macs. I edited my post when I realized that you had a MacMini, not a MacPro computer.

I'll try your suggestions. I'm new to the MacMini, so I'm not sure what Rosetta is.

I repaired the disk permissions, restarted and still unable to run the installer.

Try booting to safe mode: restart/hold command + s down till you see black screen and white text/type fsck -f and wait till process completes/type reboot to restart your machine.
Did you delete all Illustrator files before trying to reinstall? Do that if you haven't already and try again after the safemode steps above.
