TICKET ARCHIVE -> lock up upon loading

COMPUTER TYPE: IBM compatable
MODEL: 586 133 mhz
RAM: 32meg
OS VERSION: Windows 95

DESCRIPTION:
I installed a new modem Atlas 33.6 mhz. upon restarting my computer the dos screen came up the the C prompt and above that a statement "can not find checksum" listed 21 found 0 I had no problems before I installed the modem. I did not delete the modem software from the other modem a Zoom 28.8mhz I just installed the new driver and let Win95 plug and play install and find modem.. thk rick

Can you still get to windows? IF so delete the old modem from control panel system then reboot with the new modem installed. If it doesnt pick it up then try a manual install under control panel add new hardware. If the modem came with a disk click on have disk and follow the directions. Hopefully that should get it going.
