I Have a new Op system in my mac OS X and have installed Lotus Notes Client 6.5.2, and I'm unable either to send nor receive Messages written in Hebrew. after checking all the configurations with our local support provider, we haven't been able to find a solution for this.
is there any solution?
all the hebrew messages appear white in the display.

Please understand that I am asking this question out of ignorance...
Are there alternate Hebrew fonts that you can try? Similar to the various fonts available for other languages. If so, does that make any difference?
Does Lotus Notes have foreign language support? Are there something like foreign language additions to the basic Lotus Notes client?
When you mentioned a local support provider, is this someone who supports Lotus Notes, or just your local network/internet support?

I Have tried all the available fonts in the System and still getting the same results, whenever i receive a message, I have to copy and paste into a text file in order to read the message.
about the local support provider, it is someone that supports Lotus Notes but they aren't familiar with the Macintosh Op systems. the same goes with the IBM support over here.

Felix.

Is there any way to change text encoding in Lotus Notes - a menu item, probably. An example is the Safari browser has a Text Encoding selection in the View menu that allows me to choose Hebrew (ISO-9959-8) or Hebrew (Windows). I am using OS X 10.4 on my system. I don't know if this will help, and the problem seems to be in Lotus Notes.

Yes there is a way to change the encoding, but how can I make it the default encoding?

If that allows the Hebrew to now be visible, great!

If you can change the text encoding, maybe there is a preference to make that the default encoding - example, Safari has a preference to make a different text encoding the default. If there is no preference that allows that (and check the botton or top of the text encoding list for a possible choice there) then only the folks that provide updates to Lotus Notes can help you, probably (IBM, isn't it?)
