I found some nice fonts I want to install - they are now
downloaded to my desktop --
I have a G3 - Mac osx 10.3.2--
what file do I use to open them up with- msg asks me
where do I store them
turns out i think I am suppossed to have a folder called
the --Font book --but I can't locate it.
pls help - these were retrieved from
www.dafonts.com

You should have Font Book in your Applications folder. If not, might you have inadvertently deleted it? You may need to reinstall Mac OS X to get it back. If you find it, don't forget to also update OS X to 10.3.9 via Software Update. Perhaps you've missed out on other updates there, too.

I meant to say I have a Mac OSX 10.3.9 --
I do have a folder called "fonts" under applications
but how do I add these new fonts - I tried to drag them but that didn't work
and then I get a msg - what application do I want to use to open the fonts--
again, any help is appreciated --

Ben - I'm so sorry but I neglected to tell you that I was given this G3 with
no disk to re-install the OSX system --

Check for a Fonts folder in Library in your Home (user) folder. If none, create one. Drag your fonts there.

I found the fonts folder in Library --now -since I want to use some of them
in word - when I click on format-on the toolbar - then font-I don't see
any of the new fonts--

Did you start Word fresh after installing the fonts?, or restart it if it was running when you installed? Might try logging out and back in. Still nothing?
