I am having trouble using the NBC Olympics online broadcast pages. I cannot play the video or live streaming content.
I get the message that my system is not supported. Requirements are an Intel mac (Mac Pro 2x2.66, 6g ram), and a current browser which I have have both of (safari and Firefox) and 10.4.11 (it requires 10.4.8)
I have installed Silverlight which is needed also.
I can run this Ok at home on my weak little MacBook (10.4.11) but cant manage it on my work Mac, the Mac Pro.
What could be giving the impression that I do not meet the requirements?, in which I clearly do.
I know this should go to NBC but I doubt I will get a reply by the time the olympics finish.
Any suggestions? Thanks in advance
You also need Windows Media Player 11 which I don't think is available for the mac. I can use FF on my pc and it works just fine...
As mentioned in my initial question I have it working at home on my MacBook which doesn't have WMP 11.
Any other ideas?
Sorry. I do notice that Silverlight for mac is still in Beta so this weirdness isn't totally unexpected. Also, stranger still is that Silverlight is optimized for intel macs, not ppc macs?!
Anyway, more info on silverlight here:

You can also get Flip4Mac, I use it on my mac to view wmv files that I otherwise couldn't see:

Let me know if flip4mac solves the issue.
I'd suggest repairing permissions and restarting and see if that makes it work.
