I do not know much about computers. I have an ibook G4 with Mac OS X which does not burn DVDs. I downloaded Mac the ripper hoping to simply watch movies on my laptop without having to insert a DVD. I have Roxio and Popcorn. I decrypted (or so i thought) a CSS encrypted DVD using Mac the Ripper. I tried opening the Video_TS folder using Popcorn but popcorn just closes immediately as soon as I drag the Video_TS folder into it. How do I watch ripped movies on my laptop??

My second question is - How do I use QuickTime to watch things like South Park episodes that Ive downloaded with iTunes?

Thanks,
Tamar.

You don't have a burner but you do have a DVD drive I assume. Do you also have Apple's DVD Player? You should be able to open Apple DVD Player (which is in your Applications folder) then from the menu at the top select File->Open Media. You should be presented with a finder window and you can navigate to the VIDEO_TS folder, select it and hit the play button on the player's controller.

You could also use VLC which is a real nice multimedia player (plays al kinds of formats)

You can get VLC here:

The operation to get your VIDEO_TS folder to play through VLC is essentially the same as with Apple's DVD player.
