I have mac the ripper 2.6.6 and roxio toast titanium 7.0. When I recently tried to back up copies of arrested development season 2, and family guy volume three, even when performing a full disk extraction it would not rip the audio ts files. when I tried to transfer the video ts files toast said 16 of the files were in an unsupported format and would not accept them so I could burn them on a dvd. I am fairly new to this process but have never had any problems ripping and copying dvds until these sets recently. Please let me know if this is a common problem or if there is something I can do to fix this. Any help or advice is appreciated. Thank you.

Bob, welcome to macosx.com

(1) MTR has create a VIDEO_TS folder; are you able to play it either in Apple's DVD player (choose "open a VIDEO_TS file) or for instance VLC (www.videolan.org) ?

(2)
Colud you try this to burn this to a video DVD:
1. Choose the Toast Data tab.
2. Select DVD-ROM (UDF)
3. Select New Disc. Give the disc a name other than My DVD if you like.
4. Drag in the VIDEO_TS folder.
5. Create an empty AUDIO_TS folder (probably not necessary but customary).
6. Burn Disc. Or, if you like, choose Save as Disc Image from the File menu. This will create a disc image that, when mounted, will act the same as if a video DVD was inserted and will play with DVD player. This is a good way to test things out without wasting any media. If it works, you use the Toast Copy tab to burn the disc image to DVD.

The Video tab (with a VIDEO_TS folder) is for encoding and authoring video. Perhaps is the video already encoded and authored, so now you are in fact burning it as data.

(Well I must admit for using MTR/Popcorn/Toast7, I never encountered this error)

(3) When you say "copy", may I guess these copies have been made on PC and encoded/autored as a Divx for instance. Well, test it: launch VLC on the DVD itself: can you watch the movies ?

Regards
Philippe
